China ETF margin financing balance falls 0.80% to RMB113.423 billion as of September 14, 2026
As of September 14, 2026, the combined margin financing and securities lending balance of ETFs on China's two stock exchanges stood at RMB113.423 billion, down RMB919 million, or 0.80%, from the previous trading day. The Shanghai market fell RMB1.027 billion to RMB78.212 billion, while Shenzhen rose RMB108 million to RMB35.211 billion. Huaan Gold ETF had the largest financing balance at RMB6.069 billion.
As of September 14, 2026, the combined margin financing and securities lending balance of ETFs on China's two stock exchanges stood at RMB113.423 billion, down RMB919 million from the previous trading day, a decrease of 0.80%. The ETF financing balance was RMB104.928 billion, down RMB898 million from the previous trading day, a decrease of 0.85%; the securities lending balance fell by RMB20.8066 million.
By market, the Shanghai ETF margin financing and securities lending balance was RMB78.212 billion, down RMB1.027 billion from the previous day. The financing balance was RMB71.149 billion, down RMB993 million; securities lending volume was 2.179 billion units, up 3.6838 million units; and the securities lending balance was RMB7.062 billion, down RMB34.3998 million. The Shenzhen ETF margin financing and securities lending balance was RMB35.211 billion, up RMB108 million from the previous day. The financing balance was RMB33.779 billion, up RMB94.3923 million; securities lending volume was 703 million units, up 2.6873 million units; and the securities lending balance was RMB1.433 billion, up RMB13.5931 million.
Among ETF targets, 150 had a latest financing balance exceeding RMB100 million. Huaan Gold ETF had the largest financing balance at RMB6.069 billion, followed by Guotai CSI All Share Securities Company ETF and E Fund Gold ETF, with latest financing balances of RMB4.230 billion and RMB3.169 billion, respectively. In terms of the percentage change in financing balance, the largest increases were recorded by China Merchants CSI Treasury and Policy Bank Bond 0-3 Year ETF, China Universal CSI A500 ETF, and Harvest CNI Communications ETF, with latest financing balances of RMB6.3067 million, RMB2.0862 million, and RMB14.8975 million, up 28,265.04%, 392.93%, and 201.26%, respectively.
The largest declines were recorded by HFT Shanghai Stock Exchange 10-Year Local Government Bond ETF, Huabao Hang Seng China (Hong Kong-Listed) 30 ETF, and Huatai-PineBridge CSI Hong Kong Stock Connect 50 ETF, with latest financing balances of RMB169,900, RMB1.2503 million, and RMB2.6423 million, down 61.09%, 57.09%, and 54.14%, respectively.
