Market Rebounds on July 27; Power, Innovative Drugs, AI Lead; ETF Scale at 4.9 Trillion RMB
Chinese equities rebounded on July 27, with the three major indices closing higher. Power, innovative drugs, brain-computer interface, AI applications, humanoid robots, and PCB concepts led gains, while oil and gas sectors declined. The non-money ETF market saw net inflows of 34.88 billion RMB into Southern CSI 500 ETF, 29.86 billion into Southern CSI 1000 ETF, and 18.26 billion into China AMC SSE STAR Semiconductor Materials Equipment ETF. Total ETF market scale reached 49,091.92 billion RMB. The SCI STAR Semiconductor Materials Equipment index posted the highest return of 16.68% over the past week.

By sector, the power sector showed repeated activity, the innovative drugs concept strengthened, the brain-computer interface concept broke out, the AI applications concept experienced an intraday pull-up, the humanoid robot concept rebounded on a volatile basis, and the PCB concept was active. On the downside, the oil and gas concept underwent adjustment.
In the non-money ETF market, the Southern CSI 500 ETF saw its fund shares increase by 456 million, with a net inflow of 34.88 billion yuan; the Southern CSI 1000 ETF saw its fund shares increase by 1.032 billion, with a net inflow of 29.86 billion yuan; and the China AMC SSE STAR Semiconductor Materials Equipment ETF saw its fund shares increase by 1.776 billion, with a net inflow of 18.26 billion yuan. Meanwhile, the Bosera CSI Convertible and Exchangeable Bond ETF saw its fund shares decrease by 62 million, with a net outflow of 8.60 billion yuan; the HFT CSI Short-Term Financing ETF saw its fund shares decrease by 6 million, with a net outflow of 7.28 billion yuan; and the Tianhong Shenzhen Benchmark Market-Making Credit Bond ETF saw its fund shares decrease by 5 million, with a net outflow of 5.12 billion yuan.
As of July 27, the total fund shares across the ETF market stood at 3,392.918 billion, with a total scale of 49,091.92 billion yuan. Over the past week, the industry with the largest increase in shares was materials, tracked by two funds. The theme with the largest increase in shares was the CSI Battery theme, tracked by 11 funds. The index with the largest increase in shares was the SSE STAR Semiconductor Materials Equipment index, tracked by three funds; the index with the highest return was also the SSE STAR Semiconductor Materials Equipment index, which gained 16.68%, tracked by three funds.
