ChiNext Margin Balances Fall to RMB568.399 Billion as Financing Drops for Fourth Day

As of September 14, 2026, combined margin financing and securities lending balances on ChiNext fell RMB1.880 billion to RMB568.399 billion, with financing balances down RMB1.894 billion to RMB565.688 billion, a fourth straight daily decline totaling RMB8.809 billion. Aifen Da posted the largest four-day financing gain at 67.38%, while Xinhao Photoelectric fell the most at 29.72%. CATL's financing balance dropped RMB621 million.

As of September 14, 2026, combined margin financing and securities lending balances across the Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing markets totaled RMB2,626.854 billion, down RMB4.772 billion from the previous trading day. Financing balances stood at RMB2,597.656 billion, down RMB4.939 billion. By market, Shanghai's balance was RMB1,346.924 billion, down RMB2.614 billion; Shenzhen's was RMB1,271.611 billion, down RMB2.195 billion; and the Beijing Stock Exchange's was RMB8.319 billion, up RMB36.3578 million. The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.07% that day. As of September 14, combined margin balances had declined for four consecutive trading days, falling a total of RMB24.647 billion over the period.

On ChiNext, combined margin balances as of September 14 totaled RMB568.399 billion, down RMB1.880 billion from the previous trading day. Financing balances totaled RMB565.688 billion, down RMB1.894 billion, marking a fourth consecutive daily decline and a cumulative drop of RMB8.809 billion over the period. Securities lending balances were RMB2.711 billion, up RMB14.4023 million from the previous trading day. The ChiNext Index fell 1.10% on September 14.

By industry, among Shenwan sectors on September 14, 15 recorded higher financing balances. Utilities posted the largest increase at RMB420 million; computer and power equipment rose RMB341 million and RMB168 million respectively. Over the four trading days of consecutive declines in combined margin balances, financing balances fell in 23 of 31 Shenwan industries. Electronics recorded the largest decline in both amount and percentage, down RMB8.926 billion, or 1.74%. Nonferrous metals and pharmaceuticals/biotech fell RMB2.495 billion and RMB2.332 billion, or 1.70% and 1.54% respectively. Industries with higher financing balances over the same period included food and beverage and utilities, up RMB535 million and RMB288 million respectively.

Among individual stocks, 1,785 stocks recorded higher financing balances on September 14, accounting for 46.16%, of which 178 rose more than 5%. Baimaike posted the largest increase, with its latest financing balance at RMB5.3147 million, up 77.37% from the previous trading day, while its share price fell 16.87% that day. Aifen Da and Huaxi Technology recorded financing balance increases of 43.29% and 35.65% respectively. Financing balances fell for 2,077 stocks that day, with 113 declining more than 5%. Joyoung's financing balance fell 24.08% to RMB129 million; Xujiahui and Weiqi Technology fell 23.76% and 22.49% respectively.

Among ChiNext stocks, 403 recorded higher financing balances on September 14, with 32 rising more than 5%. Aifen Da's latest financing balance was RMB73.358 million, up 43.29% from the previous trading day, while its share price rose 12.29% that day. Duopule and C Diankesi recorded financing balance increases of 14.36% and 12.33% respectively. Financing balances fell for 566 ChiNext stocks that day, with 31 declining more than 5%. Shenyu's financing balance fell 21.05% to RMB236 million; Youan Design and Jinlu Electronics fell 16.92% and 13.71% respectively.

Over the four consecutive trading days through September 14, financing balances declined for 61.57% of underlying stocks, with 31 stocks posting declines of more than 20%. Xinsheng Technology's financing balance fell 47.54% over the period to RMB5.047 million; Jitai fell 38.86% to RMB112 million; Jin'an Protein and Qishi Dairy also ranked among the largest decliners. Meanwhile, 54 stocks recorded financing balance increases of more than 20% over the same period. Yifei Laser posted the largest gain, up 185.63% to RMB197 million; Shangtai Technology rose 99.14%, while Aifen Da and Huamai Technology rose 67.38% and 65.38% respectively.

In absolute terms, over the four consecutive trading days, GigaDevice recorded the largest financing balance decline at RMB743 million; Cambridge Technology and CATL fell RMB648 million and RMB621 million respectively. C Suiyuan-U, VeriSilicon and China Merchants Energy Shipping posted the largest increases, up RMB812 million, RMB307 million and RMB252 million respectively. On ChiNext over the same period, 315 stocks recorded higher financing balances, with 28 rising more than 10%. Aifen Da rose 67.38%, while Yihao New Materials and Nanwang Technology rose 65.00% and 34.49% respectively. Financing balances fell for 654 stocks, with 42 declining more than 10%. Xinhao Photoelectric fell 29.72%, while Wanbang Pharmaceutical and Huakang Clean fell 29.22% and 28.25% respectively.
