Citigroup Q2 Portfolio Hits $303 Billion; Nvidia Remains Top Holding
Citigroup disclosed its second-quarter 13F filing with the SEC, reporting total US equity holdings of approximately $303 billion as of June 30, 2026, up from about $235 billion in the prior quarter. Nvidia remained the largest position, with roughly 61.3 million shares worth $12.3 billion, or 4.05% of the portfolio, after a 23% increase in shares held. Apple and Microsoft followed. New positions included SpaceX call options and Honeywell Aerospace, while Micron Technology, Tesla, JPMorgan and Berkshire Hathaway were among the most increased holdings.
Citigroup submitted its second-quarter US equity holdings report for the period ended June 30, 2026, to the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The filing showed total portfolio value of approximately $303 billion, up from about $235 billion in the previous quarter.
Among the top ten holdings, Nvidia remained the largest position, with approximately 61.3 million shares valued at about $12.3 billion, representing 4.05% of the portfolio, an increase of 23.00% in shares held from the prior quarter. Apple was the second largest holding, with approximately 25.29 million shares valued at about $7.3 billion, accounting for 2.42% of the portfolio, with shares up 13.57%. Microsoft ranked third, with approximately 19.05 million shares valued at about $7.1 billion, representing 2.35%, with shares up 14.28%. Micron Technology was fourth, with approximately 5.3 million shares valued at about $6.1 billion, representing 2.02%, with shares up 11.29%. Russell 2000 ETF put options ranked fifth, with approximately 19.19 million contracts valued at about $5.8 billion, representing 1.90%, with contracts up 3.04%. Positions ranked sixth through tenth were Nasdaq 100 ETF put options, Amazon, Broadcom, Nvidia put options and Alphabet.
New positions in the second quarter were dominated by options and select small and mid-cap stocks. Notable additions included SpaceX call options of 2.775 million contracts valued at approximately $474 million, and Roundhill Memory ETF call options of approximately 2.29 million contracts valued at about $169 million. Also added were Honeywell Aerospace, the aerospace company spun off from Honeywell, Bitcoin ETF call options and put options on cloud computing-related stocks.
On the increase side, Micron Technology saw the most significant addition, with its portfolio weight rising from 0.69% to 2.02% on a 538,000 share increase, while its put option weight rose from 0.02% to 0.95%. Advanced Micro Devices was notably increased, with its weight rising from 0.53% to 1.22%, lifting it to the 11th position. Tesla common shares were increased by 52.99%, with the weight rising from 0.82% to 1.10%. Semiconductor index ETF put options rose from 0.13% to 0.64%. Intel's weight rose from 0.29% to 0.71%, Applied Materials from 0.36% to 0.69%, Lam Research from 0.33% to 0.60% and KLA from 0.24% to 0.46%. JPMorgan was increased by 34.59%, with its weight rising to 0.55%, and Berkshire Hathaway Class A was increased by 40.60%. Energy index ETF put options rose from 0.23% to 0.46%.
On the decrease side, the top five sold positions were industrials sector ETF put options, Bank of America, Russell 2000 ETF, bond index ETF high-yield corporate put options and Tesla put options.
