Multi-family offices across the Americas, Europe and the Middle East have disclosed SpaceX holdings of at least $3.8 billion as of end-June 2026, per regulatory filings. Highlights include Tao Capital's roughly $1.8 billion stake and Hancock Prospecting's near $1.4 billion position. SpaceX began trading in June 2026 but its market value has since shed more than $1 trillion. Filings do not address investment intent.

Family offices across the Americas, Europe and the Middle East had collectively disclosed holdings of at least $3.8 billion in SpaceX shares as of end-June 2026, based on data compiled from 13F regulatory filings. Tao Capital, the family office of Hyatt hotel heir Nick Pritzker, holds about $1.8 billion in SpaceX stock. BlueCrest Capital, run by Michael Platt, and an investment vehicle tied to Brazil's Moreira Salles banking family each disclosed SpaceX positions exceeding $100 million. An investment vehicle linked to UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reported holdings worth nearly $65 million.

Separately, Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd, controlled by Australia's wealthiest person Gina Rinehart, holds SpaceX shares worth nearly $1.4 billion, the largest single position in its portfolio of US-listed stocks. David Thomson, heir to one of the world's largest media fortunes, holds nearly $1 million in SpaceX through his private investment company. A family office serving Alan Parker, a duty-free retail tycoon, also disclosed a small SpaceX stake alongside roughly $475,000 in Tesla shares.

SpaceX began trading in June 2026, with shares climbing sharply in the initial period. By early August, however, the company's market value had shed more than $1 trillion. Some of the family offices disclosing positions are also Tesla investors. Family offices, which manage wealth for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and tend to operate with a high degree of discretion, have multiplied over the past two decades as fortunes grew across technology, finance and healthcare.

Additional family offices disclosed SpaceX holdings this month without providing further detail, according to public filings. All position data comes from regulatory disclosures, which do not address investment intent or future plans.
