Gold Concept Sector Falls 1.87% as Main Funds Net Outflow RMB 4.384 Billion

On September 17, 2026, the gold concept sector closed down 1.87%, among the steepest decliners among concept sectors. Main funds recorded a net outflow of RMB 4.384 billion from the sector, with 66 stocks seeing net outflows and 12 exceeding RMB 100 million. Zijin Mining led with a net outflow of RMB 954 million. Shengda Resources, Shandong Gold and Hunan Gold were among the biggest decliners, while 11 stocks rose.

At the close on September 17, 2026, the gold concept sector fell 1.87%, ranking among the steepest decliners among concept sectors. Within the sector, Shengda Resources, Shandong Gold and Hunan Gold were among the biggest decliners. Eleven stocks advanced, with Nanmine Group up 4.70%, Eurasia Group up 2.73% and Zhefu Holding up 2.71%, the leading gainers.

Concept sectors posting the largest gains on the day included: genetically modified organisms, up 4.04%; corn, up 3.74%; grain concept, up 2.85%; soybeans, up 2.16%; CRO concept, up 2.09%; agricultural planting, up 1.82%; cellular immunotherapy, up 1.72%; land transfer, up 1.65%; recombinant protein, up 1.65%; and childcare services, up 1.48%. The biggest decliners included: lead metal, down 2.31%; zinc metal, down 2.17%; gold concept, down 1.87%; PET copper foil, down 1.79%; MLCC concept, down 1.72%; copper metal, down 1.53%; nickel metal, down 1.52%; combustible ice, down 1.42%; minor metals concept, down 1.32%; and ultra-supercritical power generation, down 1.30%.

On the funding side, the gold concept sector recorded a net outflow of RMB 4.384 billion in main funds on the day, with 66 stocks seeing net outflows and 12 of them recording net outflows exceeding RMB 100 million. The largest net inflows went to Guocheng Mining, Zhefu Holding and Shanghai Construction Group, at RMB 36.6635 million, RMB 26.5193 million and RMB 14.0863 million, respectively.

The 12 stocks with main-fund net outflows exceeding RMB 100 million were: Zijin Mining, with a net outflow of RMB 954 million; China Molybdenum, RMB 435 million; Hunan Gold, RMB 252 million; Hunan Silver, RMB 226 million; Xingye Silver & Tin, RMB 225 million; Baiyin Nonferrous, RMB 214 million; China Gold International, RMB 204 million; Xiaocheng Technology, RMB 168 million; Tongling Nonferrous Metals, RMB 144 million; Jiangxi Copper, RMB 138 million; Northern Copper, RMB 118 million; and Chifeng Gold, RMB 104 million. Most of these stocks fell on the day. Hunan Gold dropped 6.15%, Hunan Silver 5.82%, Baiyin Nonferrous 5.46%, Xingye Silver & Tin 5.26%, China Gold International 5.23%, Xiaocheng Technology 4.71%, Chifeng Gold 4.40%, Zijin Mining 3.95%, China Molybdenum 2.75%, Northern Copper 2.50%, Jiangxi Copper 1.90% and Tongling Nonferrous Metals 1.15%.
