Hong Kong Stocks Fall on Aug 12, 2026: Hang Seng Down 0.83%, Tencent Music Slips Over 12%, MINIMAX Gains

On August 12, Hong Kong stocks closed lower. The Hang Seng Index fell 0.83%, while the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 0.99%. Tech and internet stocks broadly declined: Tencent Music fell over 12%, NetEase dropped more than 5%, Bilibili and Alibaba each lost over 3%, JD. com slipped about 3%, and Tencent declined nearly 2%.
