Hang Seng Index Rises 0.98% to 25,207; Southbound Net Selling of HK$1.574 Billion
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.98% to close at 25,207.18 points on July 27. Southbound funds via Stock Connect recorded net selling of HK$1.574 billion on total turnover of HK$82.805 billion. Tencent Holdings saw net buying of HK$560 million and closed up 1.93%, while Meituan-W led with net buying of HK$1.217 billion and closed up 3.00%. Xiaomi Group-W recorded net selling of HK$994 million but closed up 7.34%, and Alibaba Group-W had net selling of HK$553 million, closing up 0.91%.
On July 27, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.98% to close at 25,207.18 points. Southbound funds via the Stock Connect recorded total turnover of HK$82.805 billion, with net selling of HK$1.574 billion. Among this, the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect turnover was HK$50.338 billion with net selling of HK$2.006 billion; the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect turnover was HK$32.467 billion with net buying of HK$432 million.
Among the top ten most actively traded stocks on the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, Zhipu recorded turnover of HK$3.253 billion, ranking first; Xiaomi Group-W had turnover of HK$2.530 billion, and SMIC had turnover of HK$2.253 billion. In terms of net buying and selling, Tencent Holdings recorded net buying of HK$560 million, closing up 1.93%; Xiaomi Group-W recorded net selling of HK$994 million, closing up 7.34%. On the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, the top turnover stock was Meituan-W at HK$2.210 billion; SMIC had turnover of HK$2.150 billion, and Hua Hong Hongli had turnover of HK$1.982 billion. The largest net buying was Meituan-W with net buying of HK$1.217 billion, closing up 3.00%; the largest net selling was Alibaba Group-W with net selling of HK$553 million, closing up 0.91%.
Among other active stocks, Kingboard Laminates recorded net buying on both the Shanghai and Shenzhen connects, SMIC recorded net selling on both, and CNOOC recorded net selling on the Shanghai connect and net buying on the Shenzhen connect. Zhipu and Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable were traded on both connects.
