Hong Kong PCB Concept Stocks Surge on AI Demand; Xinqi Up 15%, Orders Locked to 2027
Hong Kong-listed PCB concept stocks rallied on July 27, with Xinqi Microelectronics rising 15% and Kingboard Laminates gaining over 8%. The surge was driven by soaring AI computing demand, which has led to a supply shortage of high-end PCBs and sustained price increases. Top manufacturers have secured orders through 2027. A motherboard manufacturer noted that high-speed PCB prices have risen more than three to four times.
On July 27, Hong Kong-listed PCB concept stocks rose in afternoon trading. As of press time, Xinqi Microelectronics rose 15%, Kingboard Laminates rose over 8%, Dingtai Gaoke rose nearly 8%, Shenghong Technology rose nearly 6%, and Kingboard Group rose 3%.
Driven by the surge in AI computing demand, high-end printed circuit boards (PCBs) are in short supply, with prices continuing to rise. Top manufacturers have orders locked until 2027. A person in charge of a motherboard manufacturer noted that the PCB price increase started with high-speed PCBs, which are mainly used in large-computing-power server motherboards, and their price increase has far exceeded three to four times.
Recently, listed companies in the PCB and copper clad laminate sectors have been releasing their interim performance forecasts.
