July Institutional Research Covers Nearly 580 Listed Firms; Electronics and Machinery Lead
In July 2026, institutional research remained active, covering nearly 580 listed companies, with 18 receiving more than 100 research visits. Electronics led with nearly 100 companies, or 17.2% of the total, followed by machinery (12.9%), basic chemicals (9.5%), pharmaceuticals (8.3%), power equipment (7.8%) and computers (5.1%). Electronics and machinery accounted for 30.9% and 11.2% of all individual-stock research visits. Eoptolink, Zhongji Innolight and Yuanjie Technology saw the most visits, each exceeding 300, while BOE Technology, Montage Technology, HC SemiTek, Huaqin Technology and Hikvision each drew over 200.
In July 2026, institutional research activity remained robust, covering nearly 580 listed companies in total. Among them, 18 companies received more than 100 research visits. By industry, electronics ranked first with nearly 100 companies surveyed, accounting for 17.2% of the total; machinery, basic chemicals, pharmaceuticals/biotech, power equipment and computer industries followed, with shares of 12.9%, 9.5%, 8.3%, 7.8% and 5.1%, respectively.
By total research visits per industry, electronics and machinery accounted for 30.9% and 11.2% of the aggregate number of individual-stock research visits across the market. Sectors such as telecommunications, power equipment, computers, pharmaceuticals/biotech, basic chemicals, automobiles, non-ferrous metals, defense, utilities, textiles/apparel and household appliances also recorded relatively high research volume.
At the second-level classification, semiconductors, communication equipment, optical optoelectronics, general equipment, components, consumer electronics and power grid equipment saw particularly high research visit shares, at 11.8%, 7.9%, 5.8%, 5.5%, 5.4% and 4.3%, respectively. During the same period, no institutional research visits were recorded for television broadcasting, automotive services, motors, condiment and fermentation products, internet retail, precious metals, marine equipment, beverage and dairy, coal mining, steelmaking raw materials, or papermaking.
Among individual stocks, Eoptolink, Zhongji Innolight and Yuanjie Technology were the top three for institutional research visits in July, each exceeding 300 visits. BOE Technology, Montage Technology, HC SemiTek, Huaqin Technology and Hikvision each received more than 200 visits. Among large-cap stocks with a total market value above RMB 50 billion, WUS Printed Circuit, Victory Giant Technology, China Merchants Energy Shipping, Inovance Technology and TFC Optical Communication also saw relatively high research volumes in July.
