KOSPI Falls 11% to Below 6,000 Points; SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics Plunge

South Korea's KOSPI index extended its decline to 11%, falling below the 6,000-point level for the first time since April 14. The index has now dropped more than 30% from its June peak. In individual stocks, SK Hynix fell over 14% and Samsung Electronics declined more than 13%.
