Pension Accounts Hold Eight A-Shares Worth RMB 2.366 Billion; Bairun Held for Nine Straight Periods
As of the end of the second quarter of 2026, pension accounts appeared on the top-ten shareholder lists of eight A-share companies, holding a combined 53 million shares worth RMB 2.366 billion. Bairun was the largest holding by share count and the longest-held, appearing for nine consecutive reporting periods, with its latest position up 49.85% quarter-on-quarter. The pension account's highest stake was 2.45% in Bairun. Among the eight companies, six reported first-half net profit growth, led by Huashu Gaoke with an 87.09% increase.
At the end of the second quarter of 2026, pension accounts appeared on the top-ten circulating shareholder lists of eight A-share stocks, holding a combined 53 million shares with a closing market value of RMB 2.366 billion. Bairun led by share count, with the Basic Pension Fund 16032 portfolio as its fifth-largest circulating shareholder, holding 18.6695 million shares. Hongfa followed, with the Basic Pension Fund 1001 portfolio as its ninth-largest, holding 12.0486 million shares. Six stocks, including Huashu Gaoke, Shunluo Electronics and Hongfa, each had pension-fund holdings valued at more than RMB 100 million.
In terms of holding ratio, the pension account's stake in Bairun was the highest, at 2.45% of outstanding shares, followed by Hangao Group at 2.19% and Huashu Gaoke at 1.40%. Both pension funds and social security funds are managed by the National Council for Social Security Fund. Among the pension-fund heavyweights, two stocks also had a social security fund on their top-ten shareholder lists; Bairun was one of them, with one social security fund portfolio among its top ten shareholders.
By holding period, the pension account has held Bairun the longest, appearing on its top-ten shareholder list for nine consecutive reporting periods. Its latest holding increased 49.85% quarter-on-quarter. In terms of sector distribution, six of the eight stocks were on the main board and two on the STAR Market.
In terms of performance, six of the eight companies reported net profit growth in their first-half results. The highest growth was at Huashu Gaoke, which posted net profit of RMB 8.4348 million, up 87.09% year-on-year.
