QFII Appears in Top Ten Shareholders of 330 A-Share Firms with RMB 172.2 Billion in Holdings

As of August 21, 330 of the 1,266 listed companies that have released 2026 semi-annual reports count qualified foreign institutional investors among their top ten circulating shareholders. The QFIIs, representing 34 foreign institutions including Goldman Sachs, UBS and Morgan Stanley, hold A-shares worth approximately RMB 172.2 billion in total. Their position increases concentrate on technology growth and high-end manufacturing sectors such as semiconductors, chemicals, electrical equipment and hardware equipment.

As of August 21, among the 1,266 listed companies that have published their 2026 semi-annual reports, qualified foreign institutional investors appeared on the top ten circulating shareholder lists of 330 companies. These QFIIs represent 34 foreign institutions, including Goldman Sachs, UBS and Morgan Stanley, with combined A-share holdings amounting to approximately RMB 172.2 billion in market value.

The targets of QFII position increases span technology growth and high-end manufacturing sectors including semiconductors, chemicals, electrical equipment and hardware equipment. For leading companies on the new quality productive forces tracks such as hardware equipment and new materials, QFII positions are relatively substantial.
