Jereh Group led the outflows with RMB 277 million, followed by Haohua Technology, Tongyuan Petroleum, and Sinopec. As of the close on August 12, the shale gas concept sector fell 0.15% overall, ranking among the top decliners on the day's concept board. Individual stocks within the sector showed divergence: Tongyuan Petroleum, Shandong Molong, and Xintian Natural Gas led the declines; 25 stocks rose, with Hongtian, Anko Technology, and Diwell leading the gains, up 3.84%, 2.74%, and 1.75%, respectively.

In terms of capital flows, the sector saw a total net outflow of RMB 690 million in main capital on the day, with 29 stocks experiencing net outflows, of which 5 had net outflows exceeding RMB 50 million. The largest net outflow was Jereh Group, with main capital net outflow of RMB 277 million; Haohua Technology, Tongyuan Petroleum, and Sinopec followed, with net outflows of RMB 209 million, RMB 120 million, and RMB 63.0353 million, respectively. Xintian Natural Gas, Yongtai Energy, and Beiken Energy also ranked among the top in net outflows.

On the inflow side, CNOOC, PetroChina, and Hongtian ranked as the top three in main capital net inflows, with net inflows of RMB 61.2064 million, RMB 54.6647 million, and RMB 36.1298 million, respectively. In addition, Sunward Intelligent, CNOOC Energy Development, and Furui Special Equipment also received varying degrees of main capital net inflows. Stocks with high turnover rates on the day included Tongyuan Petroleum (29.26%), Beiken Energy (16.17%), and Shandong Molong (13.60%).
