Shenzhen Securities Info to Launch Three ChiNext Indices on August 14, 2026, Covering 2.7 Trillion Yuan
Shenzhen Securities Information Co. will release the ChiNext Photovoltaic Index on August 14, 2026, completing a trio of thematic indices alongside the already-launched intelligent driving and robotics indices. Each index selects 50 ChiNext stocks, covering combined market capitalization of 2.7 trillion yuan across the three sectors. The robotics segment accounts for over half of comparable Shenzhen-listed market value. The indices expand the ChiNext series family, which now spans broad-based, thematic, strategy and ESG categories, with tracking products exceeding 200 billion yuan.
Shenzhen Securities Information Co. , Ltd. announced it will release the ChiNext Photovoltaic Index (code 970098) on August 14, 2026. The ChiNext Intelligent Driving Index (code 970097) and the ChiNext Robotics Index (code 970086) have already been released. The three thematic indices will expand the "ChiNext series" index matrix, covering intelligent driving, industrial robotics and photovoltaics, providing standardized investment tools for the market.
The ChiNext board has cultivated a group of representative companies in the intelligent driving, robotics and photovoltaic segments, with total market capitalizations of 0.6 trillion yuan, 1.4 trillion yuan and 0.7 trillion yuan, respectively. Among them, listed robotics companies account for more than half of the market capitalization of comparable Shenzhen-listed companies. Each of the three thematic indices selects 50 ChiNext stocks with large market capitalization and good liquidity from their respective business areas.
The ChiNext Intelligent Driving Index focuses on intelligent perception, decision algorithms, positioning and navigation, and intelligent automotive components, with sample constituents including Lens Technology and Thunder Software, covering the integrated "vehicle-road-cloud" industrial chain. The ChiNext Robotics Index samples are distributed across robot bodies, core components and related fields, with representative companies including SIASUN Robot, Shuanglin and Zhenyu Technology. The ChiNext Photovoltaic Index samples cover raw and auxiliary materials, photovoltaic modules, supporting equipment and photovoltaic applications, including companies such as Sungrow and Robotechnik.
Currently, the "ChiNext series" index family covers major categories including broad-based, thematic, strategy and ESG indices, with tracking products exceeding 200 billion yuan both domestically and internationally. The Shenzhen Stock Exchange stated it will continue to develop advantageous and distinctive indices around new industries, new business formats and new technologies, improving the index product system and ecosystem.
