Social Security Fund Appears in 595 A-Share Top-10 Shareholder Lists in Q2
China's Social Security Fund held stakes in 595 A-share companies as of the end of the second quarter, with a total market value of RMB 511.437 billion. The fund newly entered 241 stocks, with the largest new position being China Merchants Port at RMB 4.137 billion, representing 9.25% of the company's float. Financial stocks dominated the top holdings.
With the completion of A-share listed companies' semi-annual report disclosures, the Social Security Fund's second-quarter holdings have been made public. Data show that in the second quarter, the fund appeared on the top-10 circulating shareholder lists of 595 stocks, holding a total of 55.957 billion shares with a market value of RMB 511.437 billion. Agricultural Bank of China ranked first with a holding market value of RMB 142.772 billion, followed by ICBC at RMB 87.185 billion, PICC at RMB 38.097 billion, Bank of Communications at RMB 19.966 billion, and Founder Securities at RMB 8.36 billion. The top five holdings all came from the banking, insurance, and brokerage sectors, totaling over RMB 296.3 billion, accounting for nearly 60% of the fund's total holding market value.
In terms of structural changes, the fund newly entered the top-10 shareholder lists of 241 stocks in the second quarter. Among the top 20 new positions by market value, 13 companies were from hardware equipment, semiconductors, electrical equipment, software services, and machinery industries, with a combined new position market value of RMB 13.27 billion.
Specific stocks newly added in the second quarter include Shengyi Technology (9.54 million shares, RMB 1.655 billion), Sancera Group (9.33 million shares, RMB 1.558 billion), Guoke Micro (4.95 million shares, RMB 1.46 billion), and Jing Sheng Machinery (19.58 million shares, RMB 1.183 billion). Additionally, the fund took new positions in Zhongtian Technology (13.31 million shares, RMB 807 million), TCL Technology (138 million shares, RMB 802 million), Lens Technology (14.1 million shares, RMB 756 million), Fenghua Advanced Technology (9.26 million shares, RMB 669 million), Changyingtong (3.74 million shares, RMB 658 million), and Defu Technology (4 million shares, RMB 575 million).
The fund also newly entered Zhongkong Technology (12.18 million shares, RMB 1.431 billion), Oukei (6.07 million shares, RMB 1.103 billion), and XCMG Machinery (75.81 million shares, RMB 613 million).
Among the top 20 holdings by market value, Pengding Holdings had a market value of RMB 3.021 billion, Xinwei Communication RMB 2.743 billion, Huwei Electric RMB 2.375 billion, Inovance Technology RMB 2.162 billion, Anji Technology RMB 1.874 billion, AVIC Optoelectronics RMB 1.743 billion, and BYD RMB 4.124 billion.
The stock with the highest new position market value in the second quarter was China Merchants Port, with 213 million shares held, representing 9.25% of the float, and a market value of RMB 4.137 billion. In the resources sector, new positions included Zijin Mining at RMB 2.036 billion, China Jushi at RMB 1.097 billion, Boqian New Materials at RMB 982 million, China Tungsten and Hightech at RMB 766 million, and Hualu Hengsheng at RMB 593 million. Jiuan Medical had a new position market value of RMB 721 million.
