Social Security Fund Holds 594 Stocks at End of Q2, Valued at RMB 219.35 Billion
At the end of the second quarter, China's Social Security Fund appeared among the top ten circulating shareholders of 594 listed companies, with a combined market value of RMB 219.353 billion. The fund held 10.39 billion shares in total, adding positions in 166 stocks, increasing 157, reducing 173, and keeping 98 unchanged. Among STAR Market stocks, it held 73 companies, with the largest stake in Guanggang Gas. The fund's holdings were concentrated in electronics, machinery, and basic chemicals.
At the end of the second quarter, the Social Security Fund appeared among the top ten circulating shareholders of 73 STAR Market stocks, holding a combined 360 million shares with a total market value of RMB 23.633 billion. In terms of changes, the fund newly entered 27 stocks, increased holdings in 13, reduced in 20, and kept 13 unchanged. Among the new positions, Huicheng Co. , Zhongkong Technology, and Oukeyi had the largest shareholdings. In terms of the number of funds, Guanggang Gas had the most, with three Social Security Fund entities appearing in its top ten circulating shareholders, holding a combined 30.4283 million shares, representing 4.4% of the circulating shares.
By shareholding ratio, Nanwei Medical had the highest proportion held by the fund, with 5.23% of circulating shares, followed by Sanyou Medical at 5.21%. Other high-ratio holdings included Pumen Technology, Tonglian Precision, and Guanggang Gas. In terms of share quantity, eight stocks had holdings exceeding 10 million shares, with Guanggang Gas leading at 30.4283 million shares, followed by Hehui Optoelectronics-U and Transsion Holdings with 24.2969 million and 22.3515 million shares, respectively. The largest market values held were in Anji Technology, Guanggang Gas, and Zhongkong Technology, at RMB 1.874 billion, 1.585 billion, and 1.431 billion, respectively.
In terms of performance, 36 stocks held by the fund saw net profit growth in the first half of the year. The highest increase was Oukeyi, with net profit of RMB 371 million, up 47,734.24% year-on-year. Other notable gainers included Fudan Microelectronics and Zhuoyi Information, with increases of 338.58% and 291.66%, respectively. By industry, the fund's STAR Market holdings were concentrated in electronics (23 stocks), pharmaceuticals and biology (13), and machinery (13). Since July, these STAR Market stocks have fallen an average of 17.73%. Jimi Technology rose the most at 29.69%, followed by Huada Zhizao and Yalonghui, up 16.5% and 16.1%, respectively. The worst performer was Xi'an Yicai-U, down 53.28%.

Changes included 98 unchanged, 173 reduced, 166 new, and 157 increased. Among heavily held stocks, four companies—China Jushi, Shantui Construction, Haid Group, and Star Net Ruijie—had four Social Security Fund entities each, with holdings of 103.2329 million, 87.8934 million, 50.7037 million, and 32.7474 million shares, respectively. By ratio, Yuanfei Pet had the highest proportion at 8.36% of circulating shares, followed by Bai'ao Intelligent at 8.04%, with Wanze Co. , Ruifeng New Materials, and Guangxin Co. also ranking high.
In terms of share quantity, 14 stocks had holdings exceeding 100 million shares, with Focus Media leading at 297 million shares, followed by Sany Heavy Industry and China Merchants Shekou with 263 million and 213 million shares, respectively.
In terms of performance, 340 stocks held by the fund saw net profit growth in their half-year reports. Other notable gainers included Hengyi Petrochemical and Shouhua Gas, with increases of 2,500.73% and 2,131.55%, respectively. By board, 405 stocks were on the main board, 115 on the ChiNext, and 73 on the STAR Market. By industry, the fund's holdings were concentrated in electronics (68 stocks), machinery (58), and basic chemicals (56). Since July, these heavily held stocks have fallen an average of 1.7%, outperforming the Shanghai Composite Index. Star Net Ruijie rose the most at 107.77%, followed by Chifeng Gold and Shandong Gold, up 73.9% and 65.77%, respectively. The worst performer was Lianchuang Optoelectronics, down 54.33%.
