Social Security Fund Holds Nine STAR Market Stocks Worth RMB 2.75 Billion

The National Social Security Fund held stakes in nine STAR Market companies at the end of Q2, with a combined market value of RMB 2.752 billion. It newly entered five companies, increased positions in two, reduced one, and kept one unchanged. Espressif Systems had the highest holding ratio at 2.49%. Seven companies saw first-half net profit growth; Shengyi Electronics led at 109.36%. Since July, the stocks averaged a 14.58% decline.

The National Social Security Fund appeared on the top-ten circulating shareholder lists of nine STAR Market companies at the end of the second quarter, holding a combined 43.5668 million shares with a total market value of RMB 2.752 billion. In terms of position changes, it newly entered five companies, increased stakes in two, reduced one, and kept its holding in one unchanged. Among the newly added positions, Huicheng Shares, Youyan Silicon, and Qizhong Technology had the largest shareholdings. By the number of fund appearances on the top-ten lists, Eagle Stone Network and Zhongwang Software each had two social security fund vehicles, holding 9.587 million and 3.9712 million shares, respectively. In terms of holding ratio, Espressif Systems had the highest proportion at 2.49% of circulating shares, followed by Zhongwang Software at 2.34%, with Rile Technology, Huicheng Shares, and Eagle Stone Network also ranking high. By share volume, Huicheng Shares led with 12.3047 million shares, followed by Eagle Stone Network and Espressif Systems with 9.587 million and 5.8266 million shares, respectively. In market value of holdings, Espressif Systems, Huicheng Shares, and Rile Technology were the largest, at RMB 745 million, RMB 488 million, and RMB 326 million, respectively. For performance, seven of the companies reported year-on-year net profit growth in the first half. Shengyi Electronics posted the highest increase, with net profit of RMB 1.111 billion, up 109.36%, while Moore Threads-U and Zhongwang Software saw net profit gains of 95.73% and 67.08%, respectively. By industry, the fund's STAR Market holdings were concentrated in electronics and computers, with six and two companies, respectively. Since July, the average decline among the STAR Market stocks held by the fund was 14.58%.
