As of July 27, southbound funds held 504.5 billion shares via Stock Connect, representing 19.64% of total shares and a market value of nearly HK$6 trillion (HK$5.98 trillion). A total of 257 stocks had southbound fund holdings exceeding 20% of their total shares. Among these, AH concept stocks accounted for 58.75%. The sectors with the highest concentration were healthcare (49 stocks), industrial (46), and financial (36).
As of July 27, southbound funds held a total of 504.519 billion shares in Stock Connect securities, representing 19.64% of the total shares of those securities, with a combined market value of HK$5.979 trillion, accounting for 14.51% of the total market value of the securities. There were 257 stocks in which southbound fund holdings exceeded 20% of total shares, 159 stocks with holdings between 10% and 20%, 105 stocks with holdings between 5% and 10%, 85 stocks with holdings between 1% and 5%, and 31 stocks with holdings below 1%.
Among stocks with high southbound fund holdings, AH concept stocks had a significant presence. Of the stocks with holdings above 20%, 151 were AH shares, accounting for 58.75%. Among stocks with holdings between 10% and 20%, AH shares accounted for 19.50%.
By industry classification from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, stocks with southbound fund holdings exceeding 20% were mainly concentrated in the healthcare, industrial, and financial sectors, with 49, 46, and 36 stocks respectively.
