As of July 31, 2026, southbound funds held 504.627 billion shares of Stock Connect targets, representing 19.64% of their total share capital and a market value of HK$6.053 trillion, or 14.40% of total market capitalization. A total of 262 stocks saw southbound holdings exceeding 20% of issued shares, with 156 of these being A+H shares. The highest proportion was in Green Power Environmental, at 73.11%, followed by Dazhong Public and China Telecom at 71.97% and 71.17%, respectively.
As of July 31, southbound funds held a combined 504.627 billion shares in Stock Connect targets, accounting for 19.64% of their total share capital, with a total market value of HK$6.053287 trillion, representing 14.40% of the targets' aggregate market capitalization. By individual stock, 262 targets had southbound holdings exceeding 20% of total issued shares, 155 had holdings between 10% and 20%, 102 between 5% and 10%, 85 between 1% and 5%, and 34 below 1%.
The highest southbound holding ratio was in Green Power Environmental, with the latest holding of 296 million shares, representing 73.11% of its issued H-shares. It was followed by Dazhong Public and China Telecom, with holdings of 71.97% and 71.17%, respectively. Among stocks with southbound holdings above 20%, 156 were A+H shares, accounting for 59.54%; among those with holdings between 10% and 20%, A+H shares accounted for 18.06%.
By HKEX industry classification, stocks with southbound holdings above 20% were concentrated in healthcare, industrials, and financials, with 49, 48, and 36 stocks, respectively. During the same period, the overall southbound holding ratio across Stock Connect targets stood at 19.64%.
