SpaceX to Report Q2 Earnings Aug 3, First Since June IPO; Shares Below $110
SpaceX plans to report second-quarter earnings on Aug 3, 2026, its first release since the June listing. Shares have fallen below $110, a record low. First-quarter sales were $4.69 billion with a $1.27 per-share loss; capital spending reached $10.1 billion, and free cash flow was negative $9.06 billion. The company had 10.3 million Starlink subscribers and raised $25 billion in inaugural bonds. It also won a $1.6 billion Space Force contract and reported AI platform usage of 1.3 billion accounts.
SpaceX plans to report its second-quarter earnings in the week of August 3, 2026, the first report since its listing in June. As of last Friday, SpaceX shares had fallen below $110, hitting their lowest level since the IPO. According to the S-1 filing, SpaceX reported first-quarter 2026 sales of $4.69 billion and a loss per share of $1.27. First-quarter capital expenditures were $10.1 billion, including $7.7 billion for artificial intelligence, $1.05 billion for space-related spending, and $1.33 billion for connectivity business. Free cash flow was negative $9.06 billion. At the end of June 2026, SpaceX raised $25 billion through its inaugural bond offering to fully repay bridge loans and strengthen its balance sheet, with cash and cash equivalents at approximately $100 billion. On Starlink, SpaceX reported first-quarter Starlink subscribers (excluding enterprise and government customers) of 10.3 million. SpaceX has partnered with multiple airlines and telecom companies, including United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Qatar Airways, and T-Mobile. Emirates and British Airways launched Starlink Wi-Fi equipped flights in April, while Virgin Atlantic and Southwest Airlines rolled out services in May and June, respectively. On July 24, SpaceX launched 20 V3 satellites via Starship test flight 13, successfully deploying solar panels and connecting to the network. Currently, SpaceX operates more than 9,600 active satellites in low Earth orbit. As of 2026 to date, SpaceX has completed about 90 Falcon 9 launch missions and has begun declining Falcon 9 launch requests for after 2028, shifting to the Starship spacecraft. The U. S. Space Force awarded SpaceX a $1.6 billion contract for national security space launch programs. Earlier, SpaceX had won contracts worth approximately $6.45 billion for the space-based moving target indicator project and the space data network backbone project. These contracts further solidify SpaceX's role in U. space defense programs. Regarding AI, SpaceX reported in its S-1 filing that its AI platform supported 1.3 billion accounts through the Grok AI assistant and X website. In the 12 months through March 31, 117 million of X's 550 million monthly active users used Grok features. SpaceX operates two data centers via the Colossus and Colossus II facilities, with computing capacity of approximately 1 gigawatt. SpaceX is collaborating with Tesla to build a semiconductor factory and they purchase products from each other. In the first half of 2026, SpaceX purchased $405 million worth of Megapack components from Tesla. Tesla realized a $1 billion gain from holding SpaceX shares.
