U.S. Stocks Open Higher; Dow Up 0.92%, Nasdaq 1.06%, S&P 500 0.77%; Chip Stocks, Microsoft, Google Rise Over

U. S. stock markets opened higher, with all three major indices rising. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.92%, the Nasdaq Composite added 1.06%, and the S&P 500 rose 0.77%.

Memory chip stocks advanced, with SK Hynix shares rising more than 2%, and SanDisk and Western Digital shares gaining nearly 1%. Microsoft and Google shares each rose more than 2%.
