Unitree Technology's stock fell over 8% intraday on August 24, with a cumulative market value loss exceeding 90 billion yuan in three days. The company also announced its robot won second place in the Tai Chi competition at the World Humanoid Robot Games.
On August 24, Unitree Technology (688836. SH) opened lower and continued to decline, with intraday losses exceeding 10%. By midday close, the decline narrowed to 9.81%, with the stock price at 606.44 yuan and total market value falling below 250 billion yuan. The stock debuted on Shanghai's STAR Market on August 19, with an opening price of 1,100 yuan and an intraday high of 1,100 yuan, briefly reaching a market value of 444.9 billion yuan. That day, it closed at 845 yuan, up about 4.6 times from the issue price of 150.8 yuan, with a total market value of 341.7 billion yuan. Calculated from the intraday low, the stock has retreated more than 45% from its first-day high, with market value evaporating over 200 billion yuan from the peak. Currently, Unitree's price-to-earnings ratio is about 419 times, with half-day turnover exceeding 3.5 billion yuan and a turnover rate above 19%.
On August 20, Unitree launched a bionic seven-axis dexterous robotic arm. The product features high-precision seven-axis bionic joints, with a starting price of 9,900 yuan and a self-weight of 5.5 kilograms. According to official information, dual robotic arms can work collaboratively to complete tasks such as material sorting and assembly, and beyond research and education scenarios, they can also expand applications in service robot directions.
The 2026 Second World Humanoid Robot Games have opened in Beijing. Unitree issued an announcement wishing the event success, with multiple humanoid robots set to appear. Some robots are entered by Unitree's own team, while others are developed by customers and partners based on Unitree's robot platform. Due to factors such as development time and product testing progress, Unitree has reduced some previously registered competition events. In the martial arts Tai Chi final, Unitree's team scored 21.21 points to win the runner-up position.
