Zhang Jianping Family Shifts to AI and Optical Communications, Holds Nearly RMB 16.7 Billion in Five Stocks

Zhang Jianping and his family made major second-quarter portfolio changes, exiting resource stocks and entering AI computing and optical communications. They newly bought shares in five companies, including Zhongji Innolight, with a combined market value of nearly RMB 16.7 billion at quarter-end. Other individual investors also disclosed significant positions, while stocks heavily bought by these investors have declined sharply since July.

As the disclosure of 2026 interim reports for listed companies draws to a close, the capital movements and position adjustments of some individual investors have gradually become public. Among them, Zhang Jianping and his family carried out large-scale position adjustments in the second quarter, with funds mainly concentrated in the AI computing power and optical communications industry chain.

In terms of reduced holdings, Zhang Jianping exited the top ten circulating shareholder lists of several resource and cyclical targets, including Northern Rare Earth, Sichuan Gold, Western Material, and Dongcai Technology.

Regarding new entries, Zhang Jianping's funds mainly flowed into upstream hardware segments of AI computing power. Zhongji Innolight saw a new position of 5.93 million shares, making it the ninth largest circulating shareholder, with a market value exceeding RMB 7.5 billion based on the quarter-end stock price. For Hengtong Optic-Electric, Zhang Jianping and his wife Fang Wenyan collectively held 56.28 million shares, with a total family position market value of approximately RMB 6.15 billion. Hangzhou Cable newly bought 24.32 million shares, ranking as the third largest shareholder, with a period-end market value of about RMB 1.21 billion. Yunnan Germanium newly bought 6.66 million shares, ranking as the fourth largest circulating shareholder, with a period-end market value of about RMB 800 million. Kexiang Co. , Ltd. newly bought 9.46 million shares, ranking as the seventh largest circulating shareholder, with a period-end market value of RMB 959 million. For these five stocks, the Zhang Jianping family's total market value at the end of the second quarter was close to RMB 16.7 billion.

Other individual investors also disclosed their second-quarter operations. Qiu Mingjing newly took a heavy position in Cambricon, with a period-end market value exceeding RMB 3.6 billion. Dai Siyuan newly bought Minsheng Bank, with a period-end market value exceeding RMB 3.3 billion, and also acquired a 9.99% stake in Injoinic Technology via agreement transfer for about RMB 839 million, entering the top ten shareholders. Wei Wei newly bought Demingli, with a period-end market value exceeding RMB 3 billion, and also newly bought Shenghong Technology, with a period-end market value exceeding RMB 1.2 billion. Wang Xiaoan newly bought Kexiang Co. and Woge Optoelectronics, with period-end market values exceeding RMB 1 billion each. For BOE Technology, Cai Min and Xu Lili newly entered the top ten shareholders, with period-end market values exceeding RMB 2.5 billion and RMB 1.4 billion, respectively.

Some stocks saw multiple individual investors newly enter simultaneously. Excluding executive holdings, seven stocks had more than three individual investors newly enter their top ten circulating shareholder lists, each with period-end market values exceeding RMB 100 million. Among them, Red Star Development and ST Zhenlei each had five individual investors newly enter with period-end market values exceeding RMB 100 million, with combined market values exceeding RMB 2.1 billion and RMB 1.1 billion, respectively. Lianxun Instrument had four individual investors newly enter, with period-end market values exceeding RMB 100 million, and a combined market value exceeding RMB 3.8 billion.

In terms of stock price performance, the five stocks heavily bought by Zhang Jianping all declined since July, with an average drop of over 27%. The more than ten stocks with individual investors newly holding over RMB 1 billion each fell by an average of over 28% since July, with only about 12% of them rising. The seven stocks with three or more individual investors newly entering and each holding over RMB 100 million at period-end fell by an average of over 23% since July, with only one stock rising.
