China's real GDP rose 4.3% year-on-year in Q2 2026, moderating from Q1. Nominal GDP growth increased to 5.9%, the highest in five years, and the GDP deflator turned positive at about 1.5% for the first time since Q2 2023. Exports gained momentum, but fixed-asset investment slipped, consumption growth was weak, and the real estate sector continued to shrink.
