2027 Aion i60 Launches With Seven Trims Priced From RMB 111,600

The 2027 Aion i60 was officially launched on the evening of September 15, 2026, with seven trims. The launch guide prices range from RMB 111,600 to RMB 142,800, while the limited-time renewal prices range from RMB 103,600 to RMB 134,800. The model competes in the same segment as the Geely Galaxy E5, the BYD Yuan PLUS and the Leapmotor B10.

GAC Group production and sales data show that in August 2026, GAC Aion sold 33,694 vehicles, up 38.56% year on year. Cumulative sales in the first eight months of 2026 reached 244,080 units, up 58.37% year on year. The Aion i60 has recorded monthly sales above 10,000 units for six consecutive months and ranks among the top three in the A-segment new energy SUV market.

Compared with the previous model, some trims of the new i60 add a 192-line lidar and adopt an "L4-derived one-stage end-to-end algorithm." The GAC GSD driver assistance system on the previous model mainly used cameras and millimeter-wave radar for perception and was not equipped with lidar. "L4-derived" does not mean the new i60 has L4 autonomous driving capability; the wording refers to the technology and development system of the algorithm. The vehicle currently offers driver assistance functions, and the driver remains responsible for driving.

In addition, the Aion N60 already has lidar as standard across its lineup, and its pricing overlaps with that of the i60.

Industry statistics show that from January to May 2026, the penetration rate of lidar-equipped models in China was 17.18%, compared with 8.08% in the same period of 2025. In the first half of 2026, the number of passenger vehicles in the Chinese market with factory-fitted standard lidar reached 2.2337 million units, up 112.44% year on year. Over the same period, deliveries of models with factory-fitted standard NOA reached 2.9081 million units, a penetration rate of 34.10%, while deliveries of models supporting urban NOA reached 1.418 million units, a penetration rate of 16.63%.
