AstraZeneca's Tezspire Approved in China for Severe Asthma and Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps
AstraZeneca announced the official launch of Tezspire (tezepelumab injection) in China. The drug received approval in China in March 2026 for two indications based on positive results from the DIRECTION and WAYPOINT phase III clinical trials: as maintenance treatment for severe asthma in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older; and in combination with intranasal corticosteroids for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) in adult patients whose disease is inadequately controlled by systemic corticosteroids and/or surgery.
