BMW New-Generation iX3 Opens for Pre-Order from RMB 269,900 with 2027 Delivery
BMW Group on August 21 opened pre-orders for the new-generation BMW iX3, offering three variants priced from RMB 269,900 to RMB 339,900 under unified national pricing, with delivery planned for the first quarter of 2027. The model comes with nearly 40 standard features, including an 800V platform, sixth-generation eDrive and driver assistance co-developed with Momenta. Battery options range from 77kWh to 113.4kWh, supporting CLTC ranges of up to 919km. Pre-order incentives include flexible financing and loyalty points.
On August 21, BMW Group announced that the new-generation BMW iX3 has officially opened for pre-order, adopting a unified national pricing model under which the reservation price matches the launch price. Three variants are offered: the 30L from RMB 269,900, the 40L xDrive from RMB 299,900 and the 50L xDrive from RMB 339,900, with delivery planned for the first quarter of 2027.
The new-generation iX3 comes with nearly 40 features as standard across the range, including the digital angel light-wing front fascia, M Sport package, a full-domain 800V high-voltage platform with the sixth-generation BMW eDrive electric drive system, BMW Driving Assistant (with three years of free city navigation and eight years of free highway navigation), the BMW AI Personal Assistant based on Alibaba's large language model, heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, and front seat ventilation. In terms of range, the 30L is powered by a 77kWh lithium iron phosphate battery with a CLTC range of 630km; the 40L xDrive carries an 86.9kWh large cylindrical battery with a range of 702km; and the 50L xDrive uses a 113.4kWh large cylindrical battery delivering a range of 919km, with up to 418km added from a 10-minute charge. DC fast charging from 10% to 80% takes approximately 21 to 22 minutes across all three variants.
The intelligent driving assistance system is also standard across the range. According to the product specification, models with factory software versions 1126 and 0327 initially receive three years of free highway navigation assistance; after users complete a free over-the-air software update to version 0727, the free period can be extended to eight years. The system was jointly developed by BMW and China's smart-driving technology firm Momenta, employing Momenta's R7 reinforcement learning and world model technology architecture, with AI training based on more than 15 billion kilometers of Chinese road data, covering navigation assistance scenarios on urban roads and highways.
The system works closely with BMW's in-house "Driving Super Brain" to achieve coordinated control of braking, steering and acceleration. On the human-machine interaction front, driving assistance status, environmental perception information and lane-level navigation content can be presented in a coordinated multi-channel display across the panoramic vision display, the central infotainment screen, the 3D head-up display and the sport steering wheel with vertical spokes.
BMW is also launching limited-time pre-order benefits, including a financing plan with an RMB 65,500 down payment and monthly payments of RMB 2,888, 15,000 points exclusive to BMW/MINI owners, and 100 points accrued daily from order placement to delivery. The overseas version of the new-generation iX3 has earned a five-star Euro NCAP rating and the World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle of the Year awards, with cumulative European orders approaching 100,000 units. Pre-order customers can also enjoy exclusive initial benefits, with specific rules subject to official announcements.
