BOSS Zhipin Open Day in Shenzhen Highlights AI's Growing Role in Recruitment

On September 17, BOSS Zhipin held an open day in Shenzhen and disclosed platform data. The data show that AI positions are no longer aimed only at technical talent; traditional roles in sales, design and human resources increasingly require AI-capable candidates. In the 2026 campus recruitment season, software, algorithms, AI, large models, papers and competitions became prominent keywords for active campus positions. Among the majors that recruiters paid most attention to were software engineering, computer science and technology, intelligent science and technology, and electronic information engineering, while mathematics and applied mathematics also entered the scope of corporate focus.

Organizing AI-related positions around model adaptation, business application and effect calibration, BOSS Zhipin grouped them into three work roles: people who tune machines, people who use machines to do work, and people who calibrate machines, respectively responsible for model adaptation and industrialization, AI application and business process transformation, and effect evaluation and calibration. The people who use machines to do work category concentrates a group of traditional positions that require AI capabilities, with employers more focused on whether candidates can use AI to solve practical problems and deliver measurable results. For example, visual design positions have begun to require the use of Midjourney and Stable Diffusion to generate and modify materials, while industrial software sales positions require candidates to understand basic AI principles and be able to propose intelligent solutions in manufacturing scenarios.

AI has entered multiple stages of job seeking and recruitment. The platform also uses AI to intercept risks before job seekers see them. Data disclosed by the platform show that in the first quarter of 2026, with the large-scale application of agents, the time efficiency for platform users from their first greeting to both parties reaching mutual intent increased by 60%, while the per-capita gains on the recruiter side rose by a double-digit percentage.
