BYD Han EV Pre-Sale Opens at RMB249,900-RMB299,900 with 1,008 km CLTC Range

On August 21, 2026, BYD's four brands were showcased in dedicated halls at the Chengdu International Auto Show. On the same day, BYD's Dynasty network officially announced that its 8-series Tang would be named the "Third Generation Tang," with a planned launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. Positioned as a large five-seat flagship SUV, it comes standard with the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, delivering a pure electric range of 850 km.

The Han EV, BYD's D+ class flagship sedan under the Dynasty network, opened pre-sale on the same day in three models at prices from RMB249,900 to RMB299,900. With a wheelbase of 3,130 mm and an overall length of 5,256 mm, it is BYD's largest sedan to date. All models are equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery, with the top variant achieving a CLTC pure electric range of 1,008 km.

The second-generation Blade Battery was released in March 2026. Its core specifications include a full charge in nine minutes at room temperature and low-temperature fast charging at minus 30 degrees Celsius, with energy density improved from the first generation. For flash charging, the Han EV can charge from 10% to 70% in five minutes and to 97% in nine minutes.

BYD plans to build 20,000 flash charging stations by the end of 2026, covering 325 cities nationwide. Cumulative sales for the first seven months of 2026 reached 2.2277 million vehicles, down from the year-earlier period.
