BYD July 2026 NEV sales rise 21.8%, overseas deliveries surge 124% to record

BYD's July 2026 production and sales report showed that monthly NEV output was 420,200 units and sales were 419,211 units, up 21.8% year-on-year, the third straight month of growth. By segment, passenger vehicle sales were 411,100 units, comprising 233,100 pure electric vehicles and 178,000 plug-in hybrid vehicles; commercial vehicle sales were 8,139 units.
Overseas sales reached a record high of nearly 180,000 units in July, with overseas passenger vehicle and pickup sales of 179,841 units, a 124.3% increase year-on-year. In the first seven months of 2026, BYD's cumulative NEV sales amounted to 2,227,722 units, down 10.54% year-on-year. As of July 2026, the company's cumulative NEV sales surpassed 17.3 million units.
