BYD, Sinopec Convert Shanghai Gas Station into Flash-Charging Flagship Station
BYD and China Petroleum & Chemical Corp (Sinopec) have converted a gas station in Shanghai into a BYD flash-charging flagship station, terminating fuel operations at the site. Located at No. 1209 Huqingping Road in Shanghai, the site now operates as a charging station, with Sinopec's Yijie convenience store remaining in operation.
The conversion is based on a cooperation framework signed by the two companies in June 2026, which covers fast-charging network construction, integrated services and supply chain collaboration. The project marks the first tangible result of the two companies' plan to integrate charging infrastructure with Sinopec's retail network.
