At the 2026 IICIE International Integrated Circuit Innovation Expo held in Shenzhen, Chengdu HiWafer Technology Co. , Ltd. , a company based in Chengdu High-tech Zone, introduced an 18-bit, 1.33MSPS high-speed, high-precision analog-to-digital converter chip for industrial automation. The chip primarily targets industrial scenarios such as PLCs, servo control and process monitoring, and can be used in PLC analog input modules, servo motor control, process monitoring instruments, smart grid sensing and machine automation. In extended applications, the chip can be used for low-noise, long-endurance data monitoring in portable medical devices, as well as miniaturized analog front-end solutions for commercial aerospace, high-end data acquisition and precision automation equipment.
Chengdu High-tech Zone has gathered more than 200 integrated circuit companies, initially forming a "3+3" integrated circuit industrial system that covers the main links of the industrial chain, including IC design, wafer fabrication, packaging and testing, as well as supporting links such as semiconductor equipment, materials and components, and industrial software. The system spans sub-sectors including radio frequency and microwave, computing power, power semiconductors, BeiDou navigation and IP. The Electronic Information Industry Bureau of Chengdu High-tech Zone stated that the zone will optimize its business environment, improve its service system around the full life cycle of enterprises, and strengthen the supply of factors in areas such as talent, capital, industrial carriers and public technology platforms. For chip design companies, engineering tape-out, testing and verification, and industrial chain matchmaking can be carried out relying on regional industrial resources. Next, Chengdu High-tech Zone will continue to deepen the "Liyuan Manyuan" initiative and the "Jinjie Youcu" work, promoting more "Chengdu chips" into industrial sites, medical instruments, commercial aerospace and high-end equipment fields.
