GAC Group Chairman Feng Xingya and Huawei Founder Ren Zhengfei Discuss L3 Cooperation
GAC Group Chairman Feng Xingya said on August 25 that his team traveled to Shenzhen on August 24 to visit Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei once again. The meeting marked the first exchange between the two sides in more than a year, following their June 2025 talks. Discussions covered next-generation vehicle product pathways and the deepening of cooperation mechanisms between the two companies, with a particular focus on deep collaboration in intelligent technology, including L3-level conditional autonomous driving technology and entirely new product definition formats.
The first model under the Qijing brand, jointly developed by GAC and Huawei, the GT7, has officially gone on sale. The second model, the Qijing GX7, is scheduled to go on sale next month, in September 2026.
