iOS 27 Code Reveals New Apple Hermes MagSafe Wallet Designs, Some With Find My

Code in the iOS 27 release shows that Apple is preparing several new designs for its Hermes MagSafe wallets, with some new models set to support Find My. The iOS 27 release candidate code includes purple, brown and orange bandana-print wallets, purple and brown checked-stitch versions, and solid leather versions in navy and burgundy. A crocodile-embossed design and other styles that have not been fully confirmed also appear in the code. Apple has added support for these new products in iOS 27.

Some of the new Hermes MagSafe wallets can work with Apple's Find My network, allowing users to view the wallet's location in the Find My app on iPhone; the system can alert users when the wallet is left behind. Previously, Apple's MagSafe wallets could attach to the back of an iPhone, but once the wallet was removed from the phone, the phone could not help track the wallet's location. iOS 27 also adds a connection animation for Hermes MagSafe wallets; when the wallet attaches to the back of an iPhone, the system displays a dedicated visual effect for the Hermes accessory rather than the standard animation used for ordinary MagSafe wallets.

Hermes already sells several MagSafe card holders through official channels, including the silk Bandana Eperon d'Or, Jean patch, Pencils and Chaine d'Ancre designs, as well as the Lad style made from Swift calfskin. The silk designs start at about USD 510, while the Lad reaches USD 1,025. Apple's own FineWoven MagSafe wallet is priced at USD 59 and also supports Find My. Apple and Hermes have a long history of collaborating on Apple Watch bands and other accessories.

Apple initially used leather when it introduced the MagSafe wallet in 2020, then shifted to FineWoven eco-friendly material. Apple recently added new color options. Hermes is expanding its MagSafe wallet line with more colors, patterns and leather craftsmanship. Apple and Hermes have not officially announced full product information for these new MagSafe wallets, and the specific launch timing, pricing and which models will have Find My support remain to be further confirmed.
