Leapmotor Launches A05 Smart Sedan, Priced RMB 63,900-90,900, CLTC Range 510 km, July Sales Top 100,000 Units

On August 11, the Leapmotor A05 officially went on sale, offered in five versions with a guide price range of RMB 63,900 to RMB 90,900. As the second model in Leapmotor's A series, it is positioned as a global vehicle targeting the entry-level A0-segment pure-electric market, competing with models such as the Wuling Bingo, BYD Seagull and BYD Dolphin. The new car offers two range versions, 405 km and 510 km, with the 510 km version equipped with a 53 kWh battery pack.

Among the five versions, the 510 LiDAR version is priced at RMB 85,900. It features a LiDAR sensor and a Qualcomm 8650 driver-assistance chip, enabling 43 assisted-driving functions including parking-space-to-parking-space navigation. It is the lowest-priced Leapmotor model currently on sale that is equipped with LiDAR.

In June, Leapmotor's global deliveries reached 93,376 units, up 95% year-on-year, with exports totaling 21,000 units, accounting for approximately 22% of the month's sales. In July, deliveries reached 101,267 units, up 102% year-on-year, marking the first time monthly deliveries surpassed 100,000 units and making Leapmotor the first Chinese new-energy vehicle startup to achieve monthly deliveries exceeding 100,000 units. Leapmotor's sales target achievement rate for the first half of 2026 was 35.6%, and the launch of the A05 is a key step in the company's push to hit its 2026 annual sales target of one million units.
