Li Auto Teases New MEGA Model, Set for Sept 2 Launch with Huawei Motors and CATL Battery

On August 28, Li Auto announced teaser information for its new MEGA model, including an upgraded version of the "Panda White" pearl paint and exclusive white flying-saucer wheels. The model is scheduled for official launch on September 2.

For reference, in June 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 408th batch of the "Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products," in which the Li Auto MEGA Home completed its filing. The vehicle measures 5,355 millimeters in length, 1,965 millimeters in width, and 1,850 millimeters in height, with a wheelbase of 3,300 millimeters, a curb weight of 2,925 kilograms, and a top speed of 200 kilometers per hour.

In terms of powertrain, the vehicle is equipped with two electric motors, produced by Huawei Technologies Co. , Ltd. and Jiangsu Li Auto Drive Technology Co. , with power outputs of 155 kilowatts and 258 kilowatts, respectively. The energy storage system is a ternary lithium-ion power battery, with cells produced by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. , Limited (CATL) and the battery pack assembled by Ningde Jiaocheng Times New Energy Technology Co. Additionally, the vehicle introduces new semi-hidden door handles and adds solid-state lidar on the side and rear, increasing the total number of lidar units from one to four.
