Raycus Laser Builds Domestic Fiber Laser Chain From 10,000-Watt Milestone
Raycus Laser, founded in 2007, produced China's first 10,000-watt continuous fiber laser in 2013 and since 2018 has built an independent system based on circular solid modified fiber. The company now offers more than 200 product variants across six categories, with a fully domestic supply chain, and its lasers are used in C919 aircraft welding, high-speed rail cladding, shipbuilding and aerospace component processing.

When Raycus Laser was founded in 2007, China's industrial fiber laser industry was just starting. In 2013, Raycus Laser produced China's first 10,000-watt continuous fiber laser. At that time, key raw materials and technology were still constrained by foreign suppliers. Starting in 2018, the research team focused on basic raw materials and, after years of effort, built a system distinct from the foreign octagonal fiber route, forming an independent path based on circular solid modified fiber. Raycus Laser launched a single-mode 10,000-watt fiber laser that can meet the needs of industries such as aerospace 3D printing and precision processing of new energy batteries, and can also be used for intelligent clearing of high-voltage lines.
Raycus Laser integrates vertically along the industrial chain, from specialty fiber and key components to complete systems, forming a fully domestic fiber laser system and significantly reducing costs in key links. At present, Raycus lasers cover six major categories and more than 200 product variants, applied across various stages of industrial manufacturing. Its technological achievements are used in custom lasers for welding instead of riveting on the C919 large aircraft, laser cladding of high-speed rail tracks, cutting and welding in shipbuilding, and precision processing of aerospace components.
Laser technology applications continue to expand, covering consumer scenarios such as medical aesthetics and exploring directions such as embodied intelligence. From imitation and catch-up to research breakthroughs, Raycus Laser has advanced the independent development and localization of industrial fiber lasers over more than a decade.
