SAIC MG 07 Opens Pre-Sale at RMB 125,900 with Semi-Solid-State Battery and LiDAR

On the evening of July 29, MG officially opened pre-sales for the MG 07, offering five variants with prices starting at RMB 125,900. The model is equipped with a CATL battery delivering 845 km of range, a semi-solid-state battery with 650 km of range, an 800V high-voltage platform, 5C fast charging, the Momenta R7 LiDAR-based intelligent driving solution, mCDC intelligent electromagnetic suspension, and a HeatMatrix active cooling motor. These technologies, previously found mainly in luxury models, have now moved down to the RMB 120,000-160,000 market segment.

The MG 07 comes standard with the mCDC intelligent electromagnetic suspension across all variants. Except for the entry model, it also features an AI preview function that identifies speed bumps and manhole covers in advance and adjusts suspension firmness within milliseconds. The vehicle's 18-in-1 HeatMatrix active cooling electric drive integrates thermal management into the motor, enabling unlimited launches without thermal degradation and addressing the industry challenge of motor heat dissipation durability. In addition, the MG 07 is equipped with the VMC tire blowout stability control system and the Momenta R7 LiDAR-based high-level intelligent driving solution, supporting 130 km/h nighttime AES automatic steering avoidance.

SAIC Group's cumulative R&D investment in intelligent and electric technologies has reached nearly RMB 190 billion, with more than 24,000 valid patents. Through breakthroughs and applications in energy closed-loop systems, solid-state batteries, high-efficiency powertrains, intelligent chassis, full-stack software architecture, and a new electronic architecture, SAIC's technology foundation has fully entered the 2.0 era.

In terms of marketing, the MG 07 adopts a flash-store model, mobilizing volunteers from multiple group companies. Under the plan, 100 flash stores across 59 cities nationwide will open in succession.
