Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Renders from August 2026 Show Horizontal Camera Matrix

Renders of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra, released in August 2026, show a significant design overhaul compared with its predecessor. The device adopts a horizontal, large-matrix camera module, a style close to that of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Since the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung's top-of-the-line flagship has used a minimalist design with lenses cut directly into the glass back. The new model removes the previous 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, returning to a triple-camera setup: the main sensor, an ultrawide lens, and a 5x periscope telephoto are each housed within the module.

On the hardware front, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will be among the first to feature Qualcomm's sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Premium platform. It employs a third-generation Oryon 2+3+3 octa-core architecture, paired with an Adreno 850 GPU and 18MB of graphics cache, and supports LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.0 storage. The prime core clocks near 5GHz, and the GPU supports hardware-level AI frame generation, capable of boosting native 60fps games to 120fps.

The device also includes a new privacy screen that protects content in public environments or when displaying sensitive information. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is scheduled to arrive in the first half of 2027, alongside the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27 Plus.
