Nissan returned to profit with net profit of 3.7 billion yen, helped by cost-cutting measures, compared with a loss of 115.7 billion yen in the same period of 2024. Mazda also swung to a profit of 29.6 billion yen, against a loss of 42.1 billion yen a year earlier. Mitsubishi Motors' net profit rose 91.2%. Subaru's profit fell 10.3% as US sales volumes declined.
