Transsion's Tecno Unveils World's First True 0mm Bezelless Concept Phone, Set for IFA 2026 Debut

TECNO, the brand under Transsion Holdings, has shown off its latest bezel-less concept smartphone in a hands-on video. The device claims the title of the world's first with a "true 0mm bezel", featuring a single-panel glass design with no visible black area at the screen edges, leaving only a silver structural frame and a centred punch-hole front camera. In the actual video footage, the silver edge structure remains visible, but the black border at the edges has completely disappeared.

The concept phone is scheduled for its first public appearance at the IFA 2026 ShowStoppers media event in September 2026. Transsion Holdings said the product remains at the concept stage and has not announced any mass production plans. Over the past decade, ultra-thin bezels have become standard on flagship smartphones, but internal circuit layout and safety structural constraints typically leave a black border of approximately 1 to 2 millimetres between the display area and the outer frame. Transsion's research and development team has redesigned the internal architecture through stacked design, structural engineering solutions and screen packaging technology, compressing the visible black edge to 0mm. This technological breakthrough redefines the display system architecture, though it still awaits verification following the official launch.
