Xiaomi Unveils 10-Year, RMB 50 Billion Chip Plan; O3 in Use, O100 and D100 Due 2027

Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun announced a 10-year, RMB 50 billion chip development plan at the company's autumn flagship launch event. He said RMB 21 billion has been invested so far, with the Xuanjie O3 chip already in commercial use. The Xuanjie O100 and D100 chips are scheduled for commercial deployment in the first half of 2027.

Lei Jun, founder, chairman and chief executive of Xiaomi Group, discussed the company's chip development progress at the 2026 Xiaomi autumn flagship product launch event. He said that since deciding to develop chips, the company has been prepared for long-term investment, planning to spend RMB 50 billion on research and development over a 10-year period. As of the event date, actual investment had reached RMB 21 billion.

Lei noted that the chip research team has achieved initial milestones. The Xuanjie O3 chip has now entered commercial use, while the Xuanjie O100 and D100 chips are scheduled to reach commercial deployment in the first half of 2027.
