China's First-Half 2026 Electronic Information Manufacturing Value Added Up 14.8%

In the first half of 2026, production in China's electronic information manufacturing industry continued to accelerate. The value added of above-scale electronic information manufacturers rose 14.8% year on year, 9.4 percentage points higher than overall industrial growth and 1.5 percentage points higher than high-tech manufacturing growth. Among major products, industrial robot output reached 538,000 sets, up 28% year on year, and new energy vehicle output reached 7.399 million units, up 6%.

Exports in the sector remained stable and improved during the period, with cumulative export delivery value rising 7.8% year on year, 1.7 percentage points faster than in the January-May period. Profitability maintained its positive trend, with operating revenue reaching RMB 9.41 trillion in the first half, up 18.5% year on year, and total profits reaching RMB 577.7 billion. In June, operating revenue of above-scale electronic information manufacturers stood at RMB 1.89 trillion, up 24.7% year on year. Fixed-asset investment in the sector rose 6.5%, down 0.2 percentage points from January-May but 7.6 percentage points higher than the growth rate of overall industrial investment.
