China's MIIT and Eight Other Departments Issue 15th Five-Year Plan for Intelligent Connected New Energy
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and eight other departments have recently issued the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry.
The plan calls for implementing tax incentives for new energy vehicles.
The plan also calls for deepening pilot reforms in automobile distribution and consumption, accelerating the removal of restrictive measures in automobile distribution and consumption, and innovating the management model for automobile purchase and use.
At present, the purchase tax on new energy vehicles has been halved since January 1, 2026; the vehicle and vessel tax will be adjusted from January 1, 2027.
