Electronic Information Manufacturing Profit Surges 96.9% YoY in H1 2026, Revenue Up 18.5%
China's electronic information manufacturing industry saw a 96.9% year-on-year surge in profit to 577.7 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, with revenue rising 18.5% to 9.41 trillion yuan. Fixed asset investment grew 6.5%, while export delivery value increased 7.8%. In June alone, revenue expanded 24.7% and export delivery value rose 12.9%.
In the first half of 2026, above-scale electronic information manufacturing enterprises in China achieved total revenue of 9.41 trillion yuan, up 18.5% year on year, with operating costs of 7.98 trillion yuan, up 15.4%. Profit reached 577.7 billion yuan, surging 96.9% from the same period last year. In June alone, revenue from these enterprises totaled 1.89 trillion yuan, up 24.7% year on year.
Fixed asset investment in the sector increased 6.5% year on year in the first half, down 0.2 percentage points from the January-May pace but still 7.6 percentage points higher than the overall industrial investment growth rate.
Export delivery value of above-scale electronic information manufacturing enterprises rose 7.8% year on year in the first six months, accelerating 1.7 percentage points from the January-May period. June export delivery value grew 12.9% year on year. Customs data showed that China exported 50.23 million television sets in the first half, up 3.1% year on year; 325 million mobile phones, down 4.3%; and 179.4 billion integrated circuits, up 7%.
