In the first half of 2026, total electricity consumption in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen reached 1.017 billion kWh, up 33.56% year on year, marking the first time it exceeded 1 billion kWh in a half-year period. Among this, electricity consumption by the new energy vehicle complete vehicle manufacturing industry accounted for 48.2% of total consumption, becoming the main driver of growth.

By industry, secondary industry consumption was 652 million kWh, up 39.08% year on year, representing 64.09% of total consumption, with industrial electricity use dominating. Tertiary industry consumption was 295 million kWh, up 28.43% year on year; primary industry consumption was approximately 5.82 million kWh, up 18.52% year on year.
