He spoke to reporters at the team's home stadium on July 27, saying he will make a rehab start in a Minor League Single-A game on July 30 (July 31 Japan time). Kikuchi has already thrown two live batting practice sessions and is able to throw all his breaking pitches, with his rehabilitation progressing well. His target is to return to the major leagues within August.
