The regional GDP reached RMB 196.78 billion (1967.8 hundred million yuan), up 6.1% year on year. Industrial output approached RMB 360 billion, with industry continuing to play a key supporting role.
The combined output of leading industries—next-generation information technology, biotechnology and health, high-end and new-energy intelligent vehicles, and robotics and intelligent manufacturing—accounted for over 90% of the area's total industrial output. Output of the next-generation information technology industry rose 37.5% year on year, while robotics and intelligent manufacturing grew 12.3%. Future industries, including quantum information, bio-manufacturing, fusion energy, brain science and brain-computer interfaces, embodied intelligence, and 6G communications, continued to expand steadily.
In the first half, the area's total import and export value reached RMB 118.85 billion, up 33.8% year on year. Corporate R&D and innovation grew rapidly, with R&D investment by large and medium-sized enterprises rising nearly 30%. The area added 13 first-set (first-of-a-kind) products in Beijing, ranking first among all districts in the city.
