Fujian Issues 15th Five-Year Plan for Emerging Industries, Targeting 35% Output Share by 2030

The Fujian Provincial People's Government has issued the "Fujian Province 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Emerging Industries and Future Industries." The plan sets a target that by 2030, the output value of strategic emerging industries in the province's industrial sector will account for approximately 35% of the total output value of industries above a designated size, with annual growth of 10% in total R&D expenditure.

The plan outlines the development of a trillion-yuan new energy industry cluster, aiming for the advanced materials cluster to exceed 900 billion yuan, and the integrated circuit and optoelectronics cluster to surpass 300 billion yuan. Additionally, it will foster hundred-billion-yuan clusters in artificial intelligence, biomedicine, energy conservation and environmental protection, and the low-altitude economy. The plan also seeks to cultivate several ten-billion-yuan future industry clusters in areas such as hydrogen energy and biomanufacturing, ultimately building a leading, distinctive system of emerging and future industries in the country.
